About Fisker Knit

Welcome to Fisker Knit – I’m Mette Fisker, an independent knitwear designer, and I started Fisker Knit in 2023 with a desire to build and share my own creative universe with fellow knitters around the world.

Knitting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was lucky to grow up surrounded by strong, creative women who taught me the value of making things with your hands. My grandmother first introduced me to knitting when I was a child, and that early spark has grown into a lifelong passion.

Over the years—especially after starting my own family—I’ve found myself returning to knitting again and again, using it as both a grounding ritual and a creative outlet. I’ve spent the past few years developing my own knitting designs, focusing on patterns that are both beautiful and functional, often with a touch of Scandinavian simplicity and softness.

My academic background is in Business, Language, Culture, and Development Studies from Copenhagen Business School, but my day-to-day life looks very different now. I currently live a more unconventional lifestyle, homeschooling my three children and balancing travel, work, and family adventures. In many ways, Fisker Knit is my creative haven – a space where I can focus on something just for me, and hopefully inspire others along the way.

Through Fisker Knit, I aim to offer thoughtfully crafted knitting patterns, helpful resources, and a glimpse into the everyday life of a modern maker. Whether you’re an experienced knitter or just beginning your journey with yarn and needles, I hope you’ll find inspiration here.
