A versatile and timeless skirt suitable for year-round wear — on its own in summer or layered over trousers and leggings in the colder months. The skirt is worked from the top down with a negative ease of approx. 1–5 cm [½–2 inches]. The work begins with a double-knit waistband, into which a thin elastic cord may optionally be threaded to ensure a good fit. The skirt is then worked in stockinette stitch with short rows and increases to shape the silhouette. The piece is finished with a simple yet distinctive eyelet pattern. The length can easily be adjusted as desired. The design is classic and versatile, suitable for both everyday wear and more formal occasions.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL fits waist/hip measurements of approx. 65/92 (70/96) 75/100 (80/105) 89/114 cm [25½/36¼ (27½/37¾) 29½/39½ (31½/41¼) 35/45 inches].

Gauge: 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] = 20 stitches x 30 rows in stockinette stitch using 4 mm needles [US 6/UK 8].

Recommended needles: 4 mm circular needle [US 6/UK 8] (80/100 cm [32/40 inches]) and 3 mm circular needle [US 2.5/UK 11] (80/100 cm [32/40 inches]).

Yarn: 100-150 (150) 150-200 (200) 200 g Felted Tweed by Rowan in color Phantom 153 or Stone 190 (50 g = 175 m [191 yds]).
